Inspired by the seamless fusion of UI design systems and front-end engineering, and motivated by emerging technologies.
Passionate about accessible, user-centred interfaces, and proud to design and implement digital products that are inclusive, scalable and available to all.
Occasional panel moderator, guest presenter, and keynote speaker.
I studied a double degree in Information Technology and Creative Industries at QUT, majoring in Computer Science and Interaction Design - which is a roundabout way of saying I never had to choose between the logic side and the visual side of the web.
These days I'm a Front-End Developer at Deloitte Digital, working at the intersection of front-end engineering, UI design and accessibility. I've contributed to over a dozen client projects across finance, insurance, real estate, health and tourism, building component-driven UI and design-system solutions that hold up across multiple products.
Alongside that, I tutor first-year web design students as a Sessional Academic at QUT, and volunteer as a Young Tech Ambassador for the ACS, sharing my path into tech with students who are still deciding on theirs. I was also the 2021 President of Women in Technology, a QUT student society for people building careers in tech.
I care a lot about inclusive, user-centred design - the kind that works properly for everyone, not just the person who built it. Outside of screens, I'm usually chasing after the best cafes and/or iced coffees in Brisbane.
